Just curious, but D129 NE of Oxford is shown as active every day. Apart from the obvious issue with gliders from Weston on the Green, what is it that goes on here that is particularly "dangerous". Any ideas?

Intense Parachuting. Often from CD103's which run in from miles away.

Its in Note 1 at the bottom of the chart:

"Danger Area D129/FL120 Weston on the Green is extensively used for Military Parachute training. Aircraft can be encountere4d on "run-in" routes outside the Danger Area boundary, particularly up to 2500ft ALT. Pilots are strongly advised to maintain constant vigilance when transiting adjacent airspace DAAIS available on Brize Radar"

Dave W wrote:Parachute drop zone, isn't it? Not sure why it has a Danger Area, unlike other DZs, unless it's the intensity of use and that it is active H24.

It's due to the intensity - and the size speed and altitude of the drop a/c. Can be helo's, Islanders, Herc's and c17's from anywhere around 200ft - up to FL Nose bleed. Everything except the C17's land on at WoTG to load their cargo of meat bombers. It is quite common to see a Herc at 200 ft crossing the M40 on short final. (And it really is often H24)

If you time it right driving up the A34/M40 you'll be treated to Herculeses steaming round at low level, chucking out jumpers like confetti.

Many thanks to all, I thought it might be that but wondered why it's a DA not just "Intense Parachuting"

It's my work place. It is a military DZ where we drop a vast variety of tasks from troops and equipment at 600ft to free fall at 13k and HALO at 25k.

Military ops are very different from civilian.
