From the BBC website

Iraqi pilots who have joined Islamic State are training its members in Syria to fly three captured fighter jets, according to a UK-based activist group that monitors the conflict.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) said witnesses had seen the planes being flown around a military airport in Aleppo.

How long will they last against the combined alliance pilots?

Interesting that the Iraqi pilots are training IS people to fly the planes and not flying against the coalition themselves.

I would have thought the only real danger would be some sort of Kamikaze mission whether against the coalition or the Kurds / Iraqis.

That said, Rod1's probably right, if the planes still exist and are visible, they'll get nailed whether on the ground or in the air.
