I'm sure other older forumites on here can remember cheaper, but when I flew Tigermoth's at Cambridge in the late 90's they charged £60/hr.
SS
G-ANJA at Seething was £22 p/h in the 70's!
Marjorie,
you've got to go for it, the only opportunities in life you regret are the ones you don't take.
You've got vintage, tailwheel experience and they are not renown for being beasts to fly.
Sounds like there are plenty of people around with experience who will help with conversion
and it seems there are a few forumites who will "contribute" towards the fuel bill (inc me, please)
The only things that should stop you are the quality of the ship itself, or the old problem, Cash!
If it doesn't work out, you can always sell it.
good luck.
