Rennes is free as long as you park at the Aeroclub, pretty good for a proper international airport. They allow aeros in the overhead as well as the big jets usually keep out of that area. Best to phone the Aeroclub in advance before turning up. BTW that's the Aeroclub right opposite the terminal building and the DGAC offices.
Composed mostly of water and ginger biscuits.

Nantes LFRS is handling free as long as you park at India (remember: India) in front of the local flying club.

They charged us 15 euros for landing a couple of years ago. We didn't know that it was India at the time, but that's where ATC sent us. Don't know what parking is at India but we were there overnight and it was 15 Euros all in. The only problem was that the airport wasn't geared up to take any form of payment so we had to wait for the invoice.
The chaps at the flying club couldn't have been more helpful and friendly.

We landed there (Poitiers) on 4/6/2010 and were charged 11.02 for landing for a sub 1tonne PA28. We didn't stop overnight.

Re Potiers:
With a bit of Googling and surfing I found this site for the flying club there - so might be worth emailing the contact:
http://www.acpvolmoteur.com/ And as I rummaged around on that I found this very useful phraseology link:
https://www.sia.aviation-civile.gouv.fr ... 3&langu=fr While it is clearly aimed at providing French pilots with the English phraseology where required, a bit of reverse looking up could prove very useful for someone like me who has never flown in France before. (I'm hoping I will get my NPPL upgraded to a LAPL soon and I might take the opportunity to try out a bit of touring over the other side of the Channel.)

We stayed in La Rochelle for 9 days in July and did several take offs and landings a day. Didn't get their bill until a month later and it was €140! Regards, Mona
