They're building a new hangar and club house and their C172 G1000 fleet seemed well looked after. Have fun!

Great flightschool. From there to the keys and back is mindbogling. :)

I had very little intention of staying in Florida the whole time. It was my plan to head west and see the sights. But im also very keen to head down to the keys etc.

Would i be better to look for a dry rate instead of wet?

... a slow first day back at work, so...
I rented a C152 this summer from T Black Aviaition at St Pete's, nr Tampa for some Florida touring and gaining my 61.75. Great service, price was $55ph dry. There was also a PA28 and C172 avail. Happy to recomend this smaller, flexible, more friendly outfit as Thomas (as in T Black...) was great fun and keen to help and make sure I was flying ! A quick websearch will take to their site, a phone call on 727 669 5756 even easier... no connection, just a satisfied customer - who will be back with him next year....

I also trained with OBA in if you were thinking of that... personally, whilst noting the bad press they get, I'd not pay too much attention to it - my experience was that if you treated them professionally then they were fine to deal with. Stds were good and they worked hard to make sure as much flying took place as was safely possible. They were a little 'sharp' commercially sometimes, but to be honest nothing unacceptable, just v keen to ensure they were paid and more the norm in someplaces the US...

Good luck and enjoy the experience.... then try to avoid the depression when returning back to the UK....
