Really enjoyed flying into a very busy Leicester yesterday and to see everyone there... I opted to eat a banana and take locally-based friends out on a jolly (over their house in Arnesbury near Bruntingthorpe, the up above the ~3,000' layer to show them the top of the clouds, then Market Harborough, Melton Mowbray and back to Leicester - some nice photos if interested, "friend" me @ http://Facebook.com/AussieAndyHardy ) ...
As someone else says above, the tailwinds heading back were good - return flight to Wycombe was only about 25mins, got up to 6,000' to take advantage! Lovely views anove the inversion, which looked all milky and mysterious with the setting sun reflecting from above...
The radios were very quiet, especially Luton which we monitored with Sqawk set to 0013... wondering if there were less than the usual number of scheduled flights for the Bank Holiday?
