When we got back to Sturgate we all agreed that our visit to Leicester was a fantastic start to the New Year. We waited an hour for food but there were 50 folk having a day off and three ladies working so that we could enjoy ourselves. I cannot agree with previous posters that this was poor. Thank you Leicester for making us welcome and Happy New Year to your staff.
I had the fish and chips. I waited a while, but the food, the company and the atmosphere were all good. And we had a great view of the various aircraft coming and going. So, thank you Leicester!
Great to see everyone at Leicester today and what great flying weather. Luckily by the time our food turned up the rush was over and the Wife and I had a nice quiet lunch.
Pete, your bacon buttie turned up at 14:30 and it was delicious.

Glad you enjoyed it: At 14.30 I was just crossing the Lakenheath CMATZ....
Great day at Leicester: It's my preferred stop for any pax who have never flown before as to me it typifies everything that GA is all about.
The Bournemouth Massive were absent from the skies yesterday, despite the clear blue sky.
It would be interesting to know if this was due to the current lock-down of airside access gates or some other reason. There were only a handful of light aircraft movements at Bournemouth all day (excluding a Duchess on a training flight).
