I run AirCub on my little HTC Wildfire. Seems to work well as the screen is so small its only good for airspace markings without a map background, which is all AirCub give you.

A moving map background would be unreadable on such a small screen IMHO.

I should point out I've never used it in anger, only whilst riding in a car to test it, but its great for airspace awareness + infringement avoidance. Where I am, there is enough controlled airspace, you can just navigate with reference to the class D outlines/ATZs.

I think it would be a half decent "last resort" system.

Thanks Andy. I'm still navigating with the map, so a backup/airspace avoidance tool would be useful for peace of mind.

I don't think a screen needs to be that big when used to a map. I have a 4.3" Navigo, and that runs Memory Map with the CAA chart. It wouldn't be all that good of itself, but when you use it with a map, you can see exactly where you are on it - it doesn't need to show a great deal of the chart, just enough for you to match it up with the paper chart in front of you.
