If an AerBabe writes on a forum and there's only kms around to read, do the words appear?

An episode of Pie in the Sky was centred around Denham.

I think they used three in total, one of which the BBC had to pay for a respray because when they took the stickers off, it damaged the paintwork.

Anyway...

The flyingscenes were all shot at White Waltham - with top aerobatic pilot Alan Cassidy in a dress, false boobs and wig. Amazing what our professional pilots have to do to earn a crust

Not the most interesting of paint schemes.

Then there was the strange amphibian flown by the policeman (not forgetting Britt Ekland!) in the "Wicker man".

Oops, sorry, it was a feature film but I saw it recently on TV. Too much turkey confusing the brain cells.

Experience is something you don't get until just after you need it.

I caught a bit of an old "Bergerac" today; filmed in the early eighties I think. A scene at Jersey airport showed registrations G-BHRN, G-BCAT and G-BCVV. There was also visible in the background (but reg's obscured) a Chippie and a Rapide.

I also recollect a realistic flying scene involving, if my memory isn't playing tricks, a 172 in a two part drama called "Dangerous Knowledge", starring the wonderful John Gregson. He died before it was broadcast, but it was aired posthumously with his widow's approval. He died in early 1975. TV producers seemed more concerned with accuracy in those days, and less on sexing everything up to the point of ridiculousness (is that a word?) as seems to be de rigueur today.
Lucky in life, unlucky in computery stuff.

Our group C172 G-AWVA appeared in the Northern Lights (Robson Green / Mark Benton) spinoff "The Clash of the Santas".

THe plot and almost everything else about it was dire but it was worth enduring until the end if only to see our group member PhilC clad in a santa hat flying the old bird out of Barton.
