Pilot Warehouse

Postby leiafee » Mon May 28, 2012 7:22 pm

Have this lot gone under without telling anyone?

Ordered a book a month ago which, while I haven't been charged for it, hasn't appeared either.

No phone calls have been answered, a series of emails ignored.

I've now resorted to notifying it to my bank as a swizz in case they do suddenly decide to charge me, and ordered elsewhere.

Old threads suggest there was some difficulty but of course I only found those after a search since getting fed up...

Buyer Beware!

A basic search of Companies House implies the company has been dissolved. Whether that means they are no longer trading or operating under a different name ,I don't know, but it hardly fills me with confidence :?

All this is a good reason to pay using a credit card rather than PayPal if given the choice. I have a whole lot more confidence in (eventually) getting my money back if the goods never appear.

They are still taking orders on the website.

"All orders are processed promptly and normally shipped via a courier service for fast delivery in UK and Europe.
Orders for the UK mainland will normally be delivered within 48 hours but please allow up to fourteen working days for delivery of personally embossed and some Italian Handmade items. If you require further clarification on delivery times please email us at: info@pilotwarehouse.co.uk"

Looks like if they haven't got stock they just ignore your order and don't charge your card.

I thought the Receivers had been called in in December? By all accounts, their shed at Halton has been empty for months.

Googling last night, appears to be open at an address in Wigginton. There is an 01494 number on the website.

Before Halton, they operated out of a garden shed the other side of the Tring-Berkhamsted road.

I used them because they were by far the nearest Pilot supplier to home, not for their efficiency!
