With numbers like that I suspect GA will see no practical difference. Paying back these sorts of sums ('cos the money will have been borrowed) means sweating more money from the shops and unfortunate flying punters. Oh joy - the terminal is already a place of misery anywhere close to Loco check-in times.

So the single monopoly of BAA has been broken up

into just two large chunks, no threat to competition there then !

The competition commission are a bunch of idiots airports are monopolies for all practical purposes and those working to capacity can charge what they like up to the point where traffic reduces
