Had that problem with a Norfolk neighbour (briefly). We stuck Chablis corks on the nails.

Grumpy One, I think you are supposed to say "innit" at the end of each sentence when communicating with someone from Keef's part of the world.
Please can someone tell me to whom I should make a cheque payable? I can't see anything here or on the Aerobility website. Please save a lanyard for me - I won't be able to get anywhere near a Post Office before Weds at the earliest. :(

As per No.1 post on this topic
" 1. If you send a stamped addressed envelope (58p stamp or 2 x second class please) to
Richard King,
c/o Olveston Post Office
Bristol BS35 4DR
the lanyard will be returned asap."

You could slip your £50 quid note in amongst your SAE gubbins - Richard is a reliable sort, . His imagination abilities are rather shall we say 'weak' (after all he does fly a Cessna  ) so he won't have the nouse to think of any cunning plans to run off to Ladbrokes or Lanzerote with your dosh. Your donation is safe with him.......
If, on the other hand, you were to send it to me.....errr ....... innit? Is that how it's done?

oooh, I used to commute on one of those to an airline (ground) job (and flying lessons)! For my last airline job (and flying lessons) I had 'progressed' to a Honda moped .. I remember riding it home just after passing my PPL GFT , possibly dangerously euphoric .. :?

Mine had its first outing yesterday (to Filton), and it worked well, enabling me to identify such easily identifiable forumites as Grumpy One and GrahamB :D

Re: LANYARDS FLYING OUT - Don't miss yours..........

Nice little story.
I live in a village, it's big enough to support a general store which is also home to a small Post Office counter. Mrs WF called in this morning to see if any more post had arrived asking for lanyards and the shop owner asked why she was regularly collecting mail. She explained about the lanyards and also told him about Aerobility and its objectives.
Without any prompting he gave her a £10 note and asked for it to be put in the collection.

I believe that from tomorrow, the postage rates are going up. How much of a stamp should we send now?
