FLYER LANYARD - Aerobility - Helping Nathan

Postby Waveflyer » Fri Mar 16, 2012 7:15 pm

I hope I have made this so appetising that you simply can't resist. After lots of discussion about how forumites could spot each other in the airfield caf ', Ian, after some gentle nudging  has come up with this lanyard.
It's good quality, made from 20mm material, a safety joint and quick release clip. FLYER has donated them FOC  and I have been given the task of distributing them to the forum.

This is the deal

1. If you send a stamped addressed envelope (69p from 1st May please) to
Richard King,
c/o Olveston Post Office
Bristol BS35 4DR
the lanyard will be returned asap.

2. It would be really fabulous if you also sent me a donation with your sae for Aerobility http://www.bdfa.net/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; . I will ensure that every penny I receive is passed on to Mike Miller Smith from the Flyer Forum community. This will help somebody, who probably thought flying was not possible for them, to enjoy what we enjoy.

3. I'm not expecting to raise a fortune but I do know that the charity will make good use of any donation we send them. I will keep the thread updated with the amount received.

Thanks for your support and I look forward to meeting many more forumites soon.

Will this not fall foul of the standard "letter thickness" restriction? Does it need to be a large envelope stamp?

Well spotted Col, thank you for your post. As the result I called a meeting of my Mail Order Product Development Team and the Despatch Department and did a check at the Post Office. Well, actually Mrs. WV did it when she went to collect the pensions. The snap connection on the lanyard is 7mm thick, 2mm over the postal allowance for 1st ot 2nd class rates. You need to put on a 69p stamp.

What a start?

Never mind, I will put on the extra postage until the pension runs out and the lanyards will be despatched without delay. The first order arrived this morning  Included was a donation and the suggestion that it could be gift aided if appropriate so that means Aerobility will get the tax as well. Let me know if you want that done, I will have your name and address.

However, please don't feel obliged to send a donation. The lanyards are FOC from FLYER and the main objective is to get them distributed.

69p min stamp on future orders please or two second class.

I will extract my envelope from my Corporate Mail Out tray and stick a larger stamp on it. Hopefully done by close of play today :D

Where do I get a Royal Mail airmail stamp in Canada?

Does the lanyard go well with tea?
