Is it time for the thread title to be changed from "Handicapped" to something more acceptable?

I apologise for using an unacceptable word, I had no intention to cause offence. I gave a lot of thought to the title - what do you think it should be?

Waveflyer - I think the Headley Court website has chosen the word for us. "Injured Service Personnel".

Hmmm!
I've been injured a few times, but not, thankfully, handicapped.
If I'd been handicapped as a result of being injured then I reckon I'd feel entitled to being called handicapped I see absolutely no stigma attached to the word.- It does what it says on the tin.
IMESHO - I like the title heading - Leave it alone.

EGLK 22nd November

Postby cirrus147flyer » Thu Nov 12, 2009 4:50 pm

I have a Cirrus SR22 booked on the 22nd at Blackbushe with either 2 or 3 seats available.

Without reading through all the thread, what do I need to do to register to be involved?

I have now received your PM and sent a reply, I have all the information I need. If you look at the first posting on this thread you will find the latest information. It is edited regularlry. The number of guests from DMRC has been deliberatley restricted to 10 to "test" this Forum venture. Even if you don't fly, a good turnout will demonstrate our support to the services and hopefully the next event can be bigger and better. For those not flying on the day you may be able to enjoy some other "fun" things that will be laid on.

Waveflyer - my apologies!! Not sure how I missed this one!

I shall do my best to be there as a ground helper this time. I assume you could do with some of that?

Ridders, do you have a pax on the way up?
